Visual identity for a contemporary Mexican restaurant in Dublin.

The (excellent) food is reflective of authentic, contemporary Mexican cuisine and therefore the client wanted to avoid any typical visual references to the diluted ‘Tex Mex’ style we often associate with Mexican food.

The graphic scheme, which travels throughout the restaurant space as well as the usual signifiers and promotional materials, is rooted in and plays with the geometric forms and primary colour palette of the logotype. The work (blatantly) references Lance Wyman's work for the 1968 Mexico Olympics as well as traditional and contemporary forms in Mexican art.
