One of the aims of FAIL BETTER exhibition was to open up a public debate on the role of failure in stimulating creativity: in learning, in science, engineering and design rather than simply celebrating failure, which can come at great human, environmental and economic cost.

The FAIL BETTER exhibition book illustrated the stories of failure and featured them as innovative and inspirational discoveries that are essential factors for experimentation, creative process and prototyping.

Grey board finish, open binding and invention sketches throughout accentuate the focus on trial and error, two most common factors of the exhibition. A ‘silver lining’ is highlighted through the use of silver foil on the cover.
