In rebranding the Irish Heart Foundation we had numerous complex challenges to overcome. Heart Disease and Stroke are related illnesses and combined they are our greatest killers, yet huge ignorance surrounds them. We wanted to move from fear based messaging to hope, from a passive governmental feel to open and engaging. We strove for simplicity at every turn and to try and take a well worn visual cliche, the heart and give it distinction and new meaning, our hearts are all connected, and looking after our own looks after those we love.
