Open House Dublin is Ireland’s biggest Architecture Festival, with buildings opening their doors for public tours and events, over a long weekend each October. Our involvement in the project began in 2009, as the Irish Architecture Foundation sought to develop its presence on the Irish and international stage.

We have created a unique, clear, fun website, which enables attendees to get the most from the event; and has assisted in bolstering the profile of both Open House and the IAF. Key goals in our brief were the growth of overall attendee numbers, and the extension of the festival’s reach beyond a core audience of architects.

In 2014 the growth in traffic that had been visible on the website (see overleaf for 2014 site) accelerated, with over 600,000 pageviews during the Open House Dublin weekend alone. The site includes a map showing the user’s location alongside tours and is optimised for speed on mobile devices.
