Social Media Company HQ Wayfinding (2014)

We were asked to devise a wayfinding system for one of the biggest Social Media Companies in the world. Moving into a new space for their Headquarters in the Dublin Docklands, the company wanted a unique wayfinding system which gave their office its own Irish identity. We used the structural lines of the building to build eight story high pieces of ogham, the cryptic Irish alphabet which dates back to the 4th Century AD. On each floor the ogham acts as a functional visual cue but also spells a letter. Hidden throughout the eight floors you can find 2 words integral to the company’s philosophy ‘net’ and ‘hack’.
