The theme of the 2013 Annual Report was impact and outcome, and for the first time in our 15-year relationship with Concern Worldwide, we art-directed a photoshoot to complement a carefully considered selection of Concern’s photography from the previous 12 months. We commissioned Ros Kavanagh to photograph representations of their five programmes: emergencies; education; food, income and markets; HIV/AIDS, and health. The images conceived of arrangements of every day essentials, including food and utensils, represent how Concern improve the livelihood of the world’s poorest people, giving them independence, while respecting their dignity. We arranged the items on different textured backgrounds, including sack cloth and wood. The report was printed on uncoated paper stock.
