The Design Research Society (DRS) is the multi-disciplinary international society for the global design research community. DRS run biannual conferences for practising designers, design researchers, academics and students to input and share research and practice insights through keynotes, debates, presentations, workshops and conversations. DRS required a brand identity and website for the 2018 instalment of the conference, hosted at the University of Limerick.
Working with an initial concept developed by Visual Communications students Tamara Stone and Selina Kindt from Limerick School of Art and Design, we created an identity that reflects the ethereal nature of design research. By remaining in a state of constant flux, the visual identity presents infinite design solutions that evolved over the duration of the project in the physical and digital space. Along with the brand Identity and website, we developed a wide variety of conference materials including signage, maps, bags, notebooks, venue dressing and conference companion book.
