The Irish Times asked ourselves and three advertising agencies to produce a promotional piece for Ireland in 2010, to be published in the run up to St Patrick’s Day. Our response is a poster constructed around the words ‘We Can Re-Build It.’
The idea is that the Ireland of 2010 has many problems — but we have overcome adversity and calamity so many times, it has become a defining feature of who we are. Our piece includes imagery of both the good and the bad aspects of Ireland. The statement is a call to action, a vote of confidence, and an acknowledgment that there is much to be done.
