Modern Practice Event – The Stone Twins

29th September 2015
by Brian Nolan

As part of our ongoing series Modern Practice we are delighted to announce an audience with the Stone Twins

Thursday November 5th at 6.30pm

In the Church, DIT Campus, Grangegorman.

Using career milestones Declan and Garech will explore the evolving landscape of visual communications — and what we should consider to help ensure the effective evolution of our industry. This will be followed by a Q&A and healthy debate.

Tickets available here or using the form below. Availability is limited so we recommend booking early.

The Stone Twins established their creative partnership in the Netherlands in 1999 — since then they have built an award winning international reputation for devising concept-driven, engaging and witty design solutions. They are deeply involved in what they do, their practice spans the traditional and emerging aspects of visual comminications.

The Stone Twins are also passionate design educators, and combine their studio practice with part-time teaching at various academies (e.g. N.C.A.D., Dublin; Skolen for Visuel Kommunikation, Denmark; ECV, Paris). They jointly headed up the department ‘Man and Communication’ at the prestigious Design Academy Eindhoven, from 2008 until 2013

The work of The Stone Twins forms part of the permanent collections of the Cooper-Hewitt, New York, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and their parents’ living room. Yeah!

The evening will also be an oppertunity to update members on progress with the archive and to introduce the next version of the website. Looking forward seeing as many of you as possible on the night.
