Abhainn

Abhainn / Hydro Methods is an interactive art project by Rosie O’Reilly and collaborators, exploring the hidden stories of Dublin’s rivers and waterways through sound and walking.

We designed and built a dedicated website to support participation in the work, acting as a ledger and sign-out system for audio tapes and new participants. A printed map, developed alongside the site, guides listeners through the route, marking coordinates and stopping points to navigate the walk in tandem with the recordings.

The digital and printed elements were designed as quiet, functional extensions of the artwork, supporting engagement without over-explaining the experience.
