Boxable is a corporate gifting service that thoughtfully curates gift boxes with locally sourced Irish products. As the Boxable target market evolved from B2B gifting to corporate gifting, the founder, Laura Lynam, recognised the necessity of refreshing her brand to appeal to this new market and ensure it would stand apart from competitors. The objective was to establish a playful yet professional visual identity, with an additional request to incorporate a hidden message within the logo. It was also important for the brand to convey its focus on Irish-made and sustainable gifting.

The idea for the logo was to utilise the white space between the letters 'L' and 'E' to craft a box icon. Initially, the presence of the box may not be apparent, but once noticed, it becomes impossible to 'unsee'. An asterisk was incorporated to resemble a bow, making it clear that this box signifies a gift. This approach remains typographic in nature while also acknowledging the core theme of the business, which is centred around gifting. The 'L' serves as a versatile brand mark, capable of adapting to various applications, mirroring the range of gifting options offered by Boxable.

A set of icons were created using a visual language consistent with the brand mark. These icons represent the brand's core values, including Irish-made, sustainability, and supporting local.

We collaborated with Irish illustrator Leanne Dooley to develop a brand pattern that could have multiple applications and be adapted to reflect the season, box contents, client's vision, etc.
