Cashel House Hotel is a long established, family run country house hotel and wedding venue overlooking Cashel Bay in the heart of Connemara. Surrounded by award winning gardens, it is well known for its warm hospitality and is a founding member of Ireland’s Blue Book. The hotel deserved a website that better reflected this character and heritage, while aligning with industry standards. A complete overhaul was required to create a website built to last; one that feels calm and considered, and is easily navigated.

The project began with an in-depth research phase in close collaboration with the client which shaped a solid narrative for the website. This involved identifying the main priorities, including greater focus on weddings, highlighting the hotel’s heritage, and creating clear pathways for users to explore rooms and availability. The work included the integration of updated branding across the site, a new logo and custom edited icons were developed to ensure a cohesive visual language. Video and photography were carefully curated and edited to accurately reflect the hotel experience and support key commercial goals. Ongoing, in depth collaboration with the web developer ensured the design intent was carried through accurately into the final build. Mobile optimisation played a key role, with shorter text paragraphs and refined layouts tailored for smaller screens.

The resulting website achieved a higher retention rate, indicating that users were staying longer and engaging more deeply with the content, ultimately leading to more potential bookings. The site also saw a significant increase in traffic, requiring adjustments to server capacity, alongside a noticeable rise in wedding enquiries.
