Château Cran Chaud is a boutique hotel located in Québec, Canada. Housed in a former Sacré-Cœur presbytery, the heritage building has been carefully repurposed into a contemporary hotel with strong midcentury charm and character.
The name Cran Chaud originates from the neighbourhood’s history. Long before the presbytery, the site was used by the Ilnu (First Nations people) as a sun-exposed slope where animal hides were dried - a place shaped by natural warmth and ancestral know-how. Mink was especially significant in this practice, which led to its use as the central icon of the brand.
The identity system includes the logo, crest, visual branding, custom patterns, and signage. Typography, colour, and patterns draw from midcentury design and architectural details of the building, creating a cohesive visual language suited to a contemporary boutique hotel.
