Cover for Antkind by Charlie Kaufman

Jacket design for the debut novel by writer / director Charlie Kaufman.

The type was developed for the project by creating simple letterforms and then expanding and contracting them to create a motion and tension which filled most of the cover. The effect is that the viewer perceives the familiar letterforms but then has to navigate their reformed, warped structures, reflective of the journey of the novel's protagonist.
