Delap & Waller are an engineering consultancy company, established in Ireland in 1911. They are longstanding industry leaders with offices in London, Northern Ireland and Dublin. From the beginning, the company had an international outlook. They learned from building systems abroad, applying this knowledge to projects closer to home. We refreshed Delap & Waller's identity in 2022, for the first time in 15 years. The new identity embodies Delap & Waller as it is today - a company committed to innovation, sustainability and quality, rooted in history and experience.

The Delap & Waller logomark was inspired by the ‘Ctesiphon System,’ an innovative building system patented by Waller in the 1920s. Waller based this system on the immense catenary arch at the palace of Ctesiphon, which he saw when travelling through Iraq. Waller’s ‘Ctesiphon System’ was made up of regularly spaced timber arches and woven hessian bags; the icon is derived from these elements. The woven element is present within the icon as is the symbolism of the three pillars of Delap & Waller, quality, sustainability and leadership, with the three interlocking strands. The icon is balanced; as high as it is wide, and the arches depending on their orientation, show a ‘D’ and ‘W’ of Delap & Waller.

The colour palette is minimal and striking; it leads with Cobalt blue (in a nod to the blueprints and technical drawings Delap & Waller specialise in), and is supported by black and white.
