We developed the visual identity and materials for Dublin Mountains Alternative Accommodation, a study exploring more sustainable, place-sensitive tourism in the Dublin Mountains. The project formed part of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council’s participation in the Interreg POST programme.

Our design approach focused on communicating sustainability, optimism and innovation. Organic graphic forms and a bright green palette reference landscape, nature and Irish identity, while signalling a forward-looking approach to eco-tourism. Distinctive tent shapes act as a recurring graphic device, framing photography and clearly illustrating different accommodation types.

A flowing line inspired by walking trails runs throughout the materials, used as both a diagrammatic and typographic device to add movement and cohesion. Carefully structured layouts balance clarity with expressive imagery, reflecting the relationship between infrastructure and landscape.

We delivered a practical ‘How To’ guide alongside supporting printed materials, creating a coherent and engaging system that supports sustainable tourism goals while remaining accessible and grounded in place.
