Husband and wife team Mag and Ger Kirwan live on the Goatsbridge Trout Farm and today continue an 800 year old tradition of fishing the waters of the Little Arrigle River. We were engaged to design a new brand and range of packaging for Goatsbridge through Bord Bia and we were immediately struck by Mag and Ger's infectious enthusiasm for the product they produce. It was clear that the Goatsbridge name was not instantly identified with trout and this could be a barrier to purchase when a consumer quickly scans the shelves in a busy supermarket. With this in mind we named the range 'Eat Trout' and always sign off with the new Goatsbridge logo we designed which represents the quality and traditions of the farm. In order to complete the friendly new look and feel we art directed a photo shoot at Goatsbridge with Mag and Ger. These images feature prominently on the packaging and give trout, one of the lesser known fish options, an accessible feel. We also designed a colourful new website for them.
