To celebrate youth clubs across Ireland, we collaborated with An Post to design a two-stamp series reflecting the work of these incredible organisations. These clubs provide young people with a safe space, a sense of belonging, and a wide range of life-defining experiences and skills.

Youth clubs in Ireland span a broad variety of contexts, including community, language, identity, and education. All of them foster connection and strong peer relationships, offering an important pathway towards a secure adulthood.

To experience one first-hand, we visited Belvedere Youth Club, Ireland’s oldest youth group, based in Dublin’s north inner city. There, we met Jonathan who runs the club—an absolute gentleman and legend—and the young people who treat it as their safe haven. This visit helped us understand what makes youth clubs so special and the vital role they play in our society.

The design draws inspiration from statements of belonging and inclusion we found throughout the club’s walls—values embraced by everyone within the youth club community. Reworked in a playful font, the phrases "everyone fits here" and "time for everyone" suggest a sense of feeling part of something, while the simple linear house shapes represent the protective, welcoming spaces the clubs provide. To involve the young people directly and ensure they were part of the design itself, we organised a shoot in which we photographed their arms and hand gestures to express the spirit of inclusivity and camaraderie.

The result is a bold, bright, and friendly tribute to these special places and the young people who define them.
