Fair Seas: The Kingdom of Kerry is an Irish short film by Fair Seas and Swimming Head Productions. It’s an ode to the Kerry coast and its people—their devotion to it and dependence on healthy waters. We hear from local fishermen, anglers, divers, eco-tourism operators and local conservationists about the abundant waters that surround the area. They share how important the waters are for ocean biodiversity and supporting vibrant coastal communities like Fenit, Ventry, Port Magee and Waterville.

Lands created a series of theatrical, character, and social media posters to promote the film. The posters mirror the film in celebrating the coastal beauty of Kerry and the six locals interviewed: Eugene Farley, Lucy Hunt, Richard Kelter, Freddy Locke, Michael O’Donnell and Mich Sheeran. Each poster features stills from Swimming Head cinematographer Lawrance Ealing.

The film premiered in 2023 at the Festival of Ocean Films in Vancouver, Canada and was also selected for the 2023 Nature without Borders International Film Festival. Aoife O’Mahony narrates the film, has cinematography by Lawrence Ealing, was produced by Jack O’Donovan Trá, and was directed by Tasha Philips.
