Fexillon is the new name and brand identity for one of the world’s leading tech players in the build and facilities space. Working directly with owner operators to manage building infrastructure from Strategy to Operations.

Previously called IFS (Integrated Facilities Solutions), they are an award-winning Irish company who have pioneered digital transformation in building information management for the last 20 years, providing an enterprise-wide tech platform which manages the entire lifecycle of large-scale build projects from retail centres to airports and stadiums.

The problem identified very early on was a complete disconnect between the existing IFS brand identity which was lacklustre and uninspiring and the scale and innovative nature of the technology they were providing. There was also a disconnect between the company branding and the technology itself. We set about creating seamless cohesion with a dynamic and contemporary identity, applied right across the organisation and its technological offering, making it easy for building owner-occupiers to understand and buy into. There was also a trademark issue with the name IFS.

The main F symbol is a structure representing the 6 key stage framework of the platform with each segment colour coded to align with each particular stage of the build lifecycle.

With the aim of simplifying their proposition and aligning their visual identity with their technology platform, we created a simple grid structure which underpins all visual communications.

The new brand identity fits with the global reaching company they are today and conveys a single brand discourse across all of the countries they work in.

The project included initial research & brand strategy, name generation, brand identity creation, web design & build, app UI design, video content creation and identity roll-out across all touchpoints.
