Goethe-Institut Irland were celebrating it’s 60th anniversary in Ireland. As part of this, they launched a campaign to highlight their programme of events and a “60 Years, 60 Memories” campaign to represent their rich past in Ireland. We worked with them to create an identity that was contemporary and reflected the institute‘s branding and history.
The interlocking characters at the heart of the scheme reflect their role in connecting our two countries while mirroring the geometric forms in the classic Goethe-Institut logo. The modular identity system which included patterning, image treatments and hand drawn illustration were developed for print and screen applications, but needed to be flexible for the in-house team to use to promote various events throughout the festival.
