The Challenge

We partnered with SW3 Capital to bring an ambitious brand strategy and playful identity to life for their new hospitality development group, Gofer Hospitality Limited; offering a fresh perspective on the micro-hotel and hostel sector.

But this wasn’t just about creating more places to stay around Europe. Gofer believes that travel should feel uplifting, seamless and fun – creating spaces that connect, delight, and inspire. These spaces are more than buildings with beds; they’re welcoming hubs of creativity, comfort, and community. Gofer destinations offer unique experiences and affordable stays that open the door to everyone, from everywhere. Our challenge was to capture this vibrant spirit in an identity – one that speaks to purpose, possibility, and people.

The Solution

Working closely with the Gofer team we delivered an impactful brand strategy, flexible identity system and dynamic website. The identity was inspired by pushing boundaries of the traditional; forms reflective of concrete blocks and chunky old signage, but with a soft and playful edge. Our curious brand mascot of the gopher was brought to life in a neat geometric emblem combining key facial features with welcoming open doors. The overall theme was expressed in creative and curious representations of typography, old and new photographic imagery and precise graphic forms. This visual language reflects the function of the brand, while also embracing a quirky and alternative visual style.

The Result

A bold and vibrant identity with a good heart and quirky sense of humour. Designed as a flexible graphic system grounded in solid strategic thinking, with a people-focused purpose at the core, the Gofer brand is digitally-optimised, distinctive in the marketplace and reflective of a fresh take on hospitality. Leveraging the energy and skills of a passionate team always willing to go the extra mile, the new Gofer brand will enable innovation and elevation in the affordable hospitality space.
