Herb Lubalin: American Graphic Designer

A landmark monograph on the influential American designer Herb Lubalin, first published by Unit Editions. I designed a new cover for the trade edition, which nods to Lubalin’s bold, expressive typographic style while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. The overlapping red forms are drawn directly from Lubalin’s own monogram.
