Het Muntgebouw, the former Royal Dutch Mint, has been carefully restored and transformed into a contemporary, high-end building for work and leisure.
The logo draws from Het Muntgebouw’s rich heritage and is inspired by the millions of coins once minted here. Reflecting the craftsmanship of its restoration, we commissioned a type designer to create bespoke numismatic typography on a circular baseline, hand-drawn and digitised, inspired by the ‘Juliana Guilder’ coin series. The small icons reference traditional mint marks and can be adapted for different themes and messages.
A milled edge completes the effect, blending heritage with a modern, sophisticated aesthetic.
