In a year interrupted by Covid-19 IADT embarked on moving their end of year show online. We worked with the IADT graduating students to build an online portal to collect, store and showcase their work. The brief was to give all students, in all exhibiting courses, an equal platform to display their work regardless of format — be it static image, moving image, audio, 3D or written.
The communications campaign around On Show 2020 was derived from a bespoke typographic animation style: loud, brash and evocative of the turbulent times the students were facing. The identity was designed to work in an online-only context. In order to amplify the message further, we created a toolkit of graphics, images and animations to empower staff and students to promote On Show themselves.
It was a privilege to be part of promoting this magnificent body of student work, created under the most challenging of circumstances and to do our bit to help the next generation of creative talent on its way.
