The Irish Architecture Foundation came to us to redesign their website which we had previously designed. Since it had been initially designed, the purpose of the website crystalised and it was felt a revised design and minor restructuring would help clarify it's purpose. It was clear there was a need to separate IAF’s initiates like Open House Dublin and Architecture Tours from general architecture related news that they reported. We devised a clearer separation between activities and news and this formed the basis for the redesign. We chose to remove a lot of the content on the previous site in favour of clarity. Another key factor in the redesign was to give the site a more contemporary visual language which complemented the content. To achieve this we made simple typographic layouts and designed icons which formed part of the navigation.
