Improvised Music Company (IMC) is a resource organisation for Irish and Irish-based jazz musicians, and a specialist promoter of jazz, improvised and ethnic music in Ireland.

We were asked to create a new website for the organisation that would show all their activity in a coherent way. As the organisation is constantly adapting to changing needs of their audiences, the website needed to be flexible, robust and future-proofed. A design system was created to allow each we page be creating from building blocks, yet retaining a consistent visual style.

Throughout the visual design we looked for ways to reduce the carbon impact of the website, by reducing image sizes, using a non-white background colour, and limiting the use of full page videos.
