Motion Capture was a touring exhibition that explored the relationship between drawing and the moving image within contemporary art practice. The accompanying case-bound publication exists not only as a record of the exhibition but also as one of the key primers and academic texts on the subject. Ideas of movement and stillness are central to the exhibition and this concept plays out through the shifting planes of blue colour and blue images that move across the static black and white pages of the book. Fully illustrated with works on paper alongside investigations of drawing in other media, including film, video and photography, the book is produced predominantly in two colours. Text pages are offset with metallic silver accents.
