The National Academic Integrity Network (NAIN) was established by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) on behalf of the Irish Higher Education sector to better understand the nature of academic misconduct practised in Irish higher education institutions. It aims to identify appropriate measures institutions can take to both prevent and address such misconduct, and to develop enhancement initiatives that encourage a culture of academic integrity.

The identity created to represent NAIN embodies honesty, trust, respect, responsibility, and courage. It has an authoritative form with each letter of the word mark standing strong, like a column. The outcome aims to represent the connection required within the education network by visualising a communication and flow between all elements of the logo
