In 2022, O’Mahony’s Booksellers celebrated 120 years in business in Limerick, a hugely impressive milestone. We worked with O’Mahony’s on a campaign to celebrate this anniversary, designing a campaign identity for use on display and merchandise, as well as a 6-month promotional campaign. The aim of the campaign was to capitalise on this prime opportunity to talk about the long and storied history of O’Mahony’s and cement its reputation as an established institution nationally.
We began with the development of a 120 years campaign identity. We developed a campaign logo and identity guidelines, designed to be applied across merchandise, banners, in-store displays, window decals and digital assets. The logo design was inspired by the location and street numbers, resulting in a contemporary render of a classic plaque design.
The result was a long-term promotion that tapped into multiple facets of O’Mahony’s history to connect with a wide variety of audiences, with a successful children’s birthday card competition, eye-catching window decals, and engaging social content.
