On the Move is a temporary exhibition presented by EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs. Celebrating 100 years of the Irish passport, the exhibition explores the history of Ireland’s most travelled document, drawing on archival records and contributions from the public.
The design is inspired by the typography found within the rich archival material on display and is paired with fluorescent green accents, making use of screen-based displays while contrasting with the stone vaults. Motion design brings the stories to life, featuring a full-image takeover every six minutes.
A flexible display system originally created for a previous exhibition has been reused, showcasing reproductions of archival material set against a backdrop of key images and quotes.
