Founded by the Doyle family in the 1950s in a small shed behind the family home in Clontarf, Dublin, Fleetwood's business was built on a mastery of craft — hand-making paint brushes from metal offcuts sourced from the nearby Jacob’s biscuit factory.
Three generations on, Fleetwood remains a proudly family-owned company and today stands as Ireland’s only independent paint manufacturer, producing paint of exceptional quality. After five years in development, Prestige is the only washable, ultra-matt, low-VOC paint, offering unrivalled coverage — the finest paint on the market.
We worked in close partnership with Fleetwood’s marketing team to undertake a comprehensive product brand review, aligning the visual identity with its strategic ambitions. The outcome was a repositioning of Prestige as a more premium, high-end offering, designed to appeal to the most discerning audience — interior designers and architects.
A flexible identity system was developed to extend seamlessly across all touchpoints, deliberately placing the focus on the product rather than the brand. The core concept line, Make it yours, expresses the customisable nature of the paint, working cohesively across both environmental and digital platforms.
We collaborated with photographer Fionn McCann to capture Fleetwood’s unique story at its factory in Virginia, Co. Cavan — from the latest robotics and technology, to the generations of families working side by side, as well as the company’s on-site commitment to biodiversity, sustainability, and the surrounding forests cultivated for wellbeing.
The refreshed visual identity for Prestige elevates the product to match its reputation — aligning Ireland’s finest paint with a brand expression that reflects its quality, family heritage, and enduring commitment to sustainability.
