Rotunda Hospital Annual Report 2024

Our design for The Rotunda Annual Report 2024 is a clear, confident and highly structured publication that brings coherence to a complex body of clinical, operational and strategic information. Our role was to develop a design system that supports clarity, credibility and ease of navigation, while reflecting the professionalism and scale of The Rotunda Hospital’s work. 

Clear hierarchy, generous spacing and well-defined section structures help readers move easily between high-level overview and detailed reference. 

A gradient colour system is used to differentiate chapters and subsections, providing clear visual cues that support navigation throughout the document as well as adding depth and continuity, helping sections feel distinct while remaining part of a unified whole. Colour is otherwise used with restraint, maintaining a calm and authoritative tone. 

We led the photography for the report, using it as a considered design tool to introduce warmth and human context without distracting from the report’s primary function. The imagery focuses on people, care and environment, helping to balance clinical data with lived experience and reinforce the hospital’s patient-centred ethos. 

Infographics are carefully integrated to support legibility and understanding. Overall, the design balances precision with accessibility, resulting in a professional and confident publication that reinforces transparency and trust.
