Soul Motion are a Kildare based music collective that play a weekly night of soul, disco, house and funk.

The night needed an identity and online presence.

Studio 54, a prominent New York night club during the 70's and the surrounding music scene is a major influence on the night and our imagery choices. We accompanied strong greyscale imagery with constant changes in typographic scale to represent a changing sound and atmosphere.

A logo was created to be used across social media, weekly Instagram posts were designed which included still and animated elements. For printed material, a series of posters were designed as part of the identity.

The main goal was to create an identity that could change on a weekly basis yet still be recognised as Soul Motion.

A reserved use of typography and image offered a consistent identity with scope for a constantly shifting layout.
