Vinyl packaging for new LP Spots by German duo Joasihno.
The cover shows an assortment of hand cuts circles in an arrangement that at first may seem abstract. But the circles form the title of the album, and within some of those circles lies the artist name, dancing across the cover. The idea is a celebration of the physical form of the album cover. It is an object that will be viewed from unintended angles and from a variety of distances. The cover embraces this, presenting the viewer with a title that might not be readable when you're holding the record in your hands, but will be more so when seen from a distance across a record store. Similarly, the artist type is perfectly readable from up close, but not far away. The cover invites us to experience physical media in a variety of ways, allowing the type handling to draw us in and push us away.
