I designed the annual report for The Irish Times financial figures for 2011. I wanted to create a printed annual report that was engaging and easy to navigate through. Roman numerals set in the companies primary brand typeface ' Times New Roman' were used to divide the report into different sections. Each section was given a particular colour palette. I worked closely with Michael Ruane, pre-media manager for The Irish Times, to develop a printed piece which correctly reflected the companies current identity. The annual report was used for promotional purposes only. To add to the annual report as a package, I designed a 16 page newsprint which featured a brief history of the company. 600 copies of the newsprints were printed at The Irish Times printing facility in Citywest Business Campus. The newsprints worked well as part of the the annual report package, but also as a solo promotional print to hand out to potential clients and subscribers.
