We were invited by Mark Bloom of Socio Design to take part in Nifty Fifty, an ambitious poster project that challenged participants to creatively interpret the word ‘Money’ in aid of the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity, who provide care for those with life limiting illnesses.
As one of the fifty studios chosen to take part, we created an Edition of One poster to be sold through a process of sealed bids with all proceeds going to the charity.
Our solution is based on the idea of time as currency. Time, is our most precious commodity and something those with life limiting illnesses appreciate more than others. Those with these illnesses can have good and bad days, the posters’ UV reactive ink (which only appears in sunlight) reminds us to enjoy those good days and spend time well.
