Údarás na Gaeltachta Identity

Údarás na Gaeltachta was set up to preserve and strengthen Irish as a living language. Established in 1980, one of its primary objectives was to support initiatives that use native skills and natural resources. The identity pays homage to this heritage in a contemporary way. The weaving lines reflect those native skills as well as representing how the Údarás is woven into all elements of the Gaeltacht community.
