Brian Friel’s version of Uncle Vanya is clear, urgent, heartbreaking and funny. Staged for the first time in Dublin in nearly 20 years, it asks us: is happiness ever worth the risk, and what price must we pay for wanting more?
The design sought to capture the bold, contemporary vision of the production. Chekhov’s characters reflect on their dreams and wasted potential—they see their own lives mirrored in others.
A minimal approach combining clean typography, strong photography, and one vivid colour. Reflection becomes the central motif, with the image rotated in multiple variations to mirror the play’s themes.
